Welcome to our website, especially to the boys and families who are new to the school or didn't realise we had a snow team. You may not have seen skis and snowboards around the school but some of our boys really show some speed and style on the slopes!

Here are a few facts about snowsports at Aloysius'

  • St Aloysius' Snowsports enters its sixth year of competition in 2005.
  • Last year about 50 boys were in the St Aloysius team and they represented the school in both snowboarding and skiing events at the Interschool Championships, The Redlands Cup and The Scot's Invitational Competition.
  • Four teams made it to the 2005 Interschools National Championships where St Aloysius recorded a first and two second places.
  • Our snowsports coach is Owen Muyt, an old boy and qualified ski instructor
  • In addition to racing last year we held our first snow camp. This was open to both racers and other boys including a few first timers. The 2005 camp will be held from 7-10 July. Registration forms are available on this site.
  • Snowsports activities are family oriented, with most families joining their boys for holidays and to cheer the Blue and Gold Team on race days
  • Dry land training is held on Sundays. Join us for the first 2005 session at the College Oval on Sunday 3rd April at 3pm.

Perhaps the most important feature of St Aloysius Snow Team is that, in the best ski tradition, we all have a great time with group skiing, après ski drinks and functions both on the slopes and back in Sydney.

We hope you can join us!!

Explore this site to find our more about our activities. We look forward to meeting you at our registration and information day on 3rd April or call our co-ordinators.
