The College employs a School Counsellor who is available to students and parents to help work through behavioural and social issues which may be impacting adversely on the students’ personal development.
A Socially Engaged Spirituality
Such a formation in faith draws the student to an outwardly focussed orientation where one’s abilities and talents are not regarded as assets to be selfishly hoarded, but gifts to be spent generously in the service of others. Not surprisingly, then, that the most popular prayer among the students is the Prayer for Generosity, attributed to St Ignatius:
teach me to be generous.
Teach me to serve you as you deserve –
to give, and not to count the cost,
to fight, and not to heed the wounds,
to toil, and not to seek for rest,
to labour and not to ask reward,
except that of knowing
that I do your holy will.
