Music performance forms a very special part of the St Aloysius’ College community. Performance and instrumental music attracts the largest number of students in the College Co-curricular program.

St Aloysius’ College students are offered a range of learning experiences in music performance; from individual tuition and classroom music to massed choirs and orchestras. The students participate in liturgies, international performance tours, major concerts in Sydney’s premiere performance spaces and the biennial staging of full-scale musical productions. As a Co-curricular activity, students are expected to commit to their selected ensemble, just as for any team activity. Written reports are prepared at the end of each semester on students undertaking private instrumental tuition at the College. Most rehearsals take place before school, some lunch times and Tuesday afternoon, the dedicated music afternoon at the College.
